  • The College Board code of the University of Hartford is 3436. The American College Testing Program code is 0606.
  • Credits will be awarded for many Advanced Placement exams. A score of 3 or better is generally required.

Transfer Student Admission

Students who have completed more than one full year (30 semester hours) of transferable college work are usually not required to submit admission test scores or high school transcripts. If the Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance needs this information in an individual case, students will be notified accordingly. A $35 nonrefundable fee must accompany the application agreement statement for admission.

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that transcripts from ALL postsecondary institutions of higher education be forwarded directly from the institution to the Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance, whether or not transfer credit is desired. We suggest that students contact the registrar's office or appropriate transcript processing unit of each institution involved, in order to ensure that documents are forwarded in a timely manner.

Transfer students will receive information about the total amount of transfer credit at the time of acceptance. In most cases, the application of transfer credits to degree requirements is done by the appropriate officer in the University's school or college. This is accomplished, however, only after the Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance has verified the accreditation of the transfer student's college and/or university and completed the preliminary review. Depending on the number of documents involved, a transfer student should expect the admission process to take between two and four weeks.
